Basic concept of Search Engine


1.                    What is Search Engine?

·        Ans. The “Spider” which is called a “crawler” and or a “bot” which enters every page of a website which wants to be searchable and to be indexed (Sometimes called as a catalog).On the other hand, which program receive your search request, Delivers it to the entries in the index and give the search results to you.

·        The program which creates search result to the visitor by the delivered or entered keywords or keyword phrase is called search engine. Search engine is really a class of general programs often used to systems like Google, AltaVista and Excite which are able to search for documents on www (World Wide Web).
·        Typically a Search Engine works by forcing a spider to the web pages of every web site to fletch as many documents as possible.

·        A search engine is a structured directory of topics. There is lots of search engine in the World Wide Web technology sector and each search engine works in different way.
